Review
FLOW

Record sales outstripped any in the 20 year history

Group Seminar,
September
21-23, 2005. This 2
˝ day seminar includes hands-on demonstrations of the
latest flow equipment, a comprehensive course on critical
flow technology, user feedback breakout sessions, software
demos, new product previews, plus an optional golf outing.
Classes will
be conducted at FLOW SYSTEMS and CEESI (www.ceesi.com)

New Product Debut
Visitors
to the NCSL International
will be the first to preview the new FC50-CFV Flow
Computer. The FC50-CFV works with single, manually
interchangeable Sonic
Nozzles for dry gas measurement.
The
lightweight and mobile unit measures a nominal 4 x 7 x 7
inches and offers Stand-alone Operation with optional MS
Windows™-based Software for Configuration, Monitoring,
Data Retrieval and Calibration Functions.
Other
features include: Nozzle Change, Data Logging and Data
Storage while in Stand-alone mode; RS232 Serial
Communication; and Thermister Probe, with options to add
an Inlet Pressure Transmitter and an Exit Pressure Gauge.

Quarter Record Sales
President/CEO
Michael Carter announced that a new sales record was
achieved this year for the highest second quarter sales to
date. “We
are pleased with the steady growth we’ve seen the last
few years. We
are on track for another record-breaking year in 2005,”
Carter said.

Technology of Stuart,
Florida
placed
another major system order for a High
Flow Test Stand and a newly developed Mega
Flow Configuration Air Flow Test Stand, along with a Blade
and Vane Test Station, and other system accessories.
Alcoa
Howmet Castings, Winsted, Connecticut, expanded their set
of FLOW SYSTEMS equipment by adding a Mini
Flow Configuration Air Flow Test Stand, while General
Motors purchased a custom GFC-Gas
Flow Calibrator System with an FC500-MFC Mass
Flow Controller for their Milford Proving Grounds
facility in Michigan.
Another
set of equipment was also ordered by Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries, Takasago,
Japan
including a High Flow Test Stand, Blade and Vane Test
Stations, Onsite Start-up and extra Sonic
Nozzles and Software.

New Product
Development
Work
has started on a prototype of the new FC50-CFV Flow
Computer. It is designed to work with individual
Critical Flow Venturis (Sonic
Nozzles) that will be servicing dry gasses only
(no humidity compensation). The user can log data,
modify units, or change nozzles stored in memory. The
unit will be supplied with a calibrated Thermister probe
for inlet
temperature measurement.
Options include an inlet pressure transmitter, a
small dial gauge to check for choked conditions in the
nozzle throat, and a software package for calibrating
inputs, superior data monitoring, and data retrieval
features.
Also
in development is an FC150 Flow Computer that will offer
additional functionality for more complex applications.

2004 Year in
Review
FLOW
SYSTEMS President/CEO Michael Carter is pleased to
announce that 2004 sales were the highest ever in the
company’s 18 year history.
More than 21 systems and hundreds of component and
service orders were placed by new and returning FLOW
SYSTEMS customers. “We
look forward to a bright future, as we continue to expand
our presence globally,” said Carter.
System
Recalibration Orders
Many
Systems Clients began scheduling their Annual
Recalibration Service this month.
Flow Bench Audits using Master Sonic Nozzles or
Flow Standards are recommended for all FLOW SYSTEMS Test
Equipment on an annual basis. Normal
calibrations of the pressure and temperature measurement
devices are also performed at that time. FLOW
SYSTEMS Engineering Staff is available to conduct these
functions at the customer’s site, by bringing
Calibration Standards for comparative testing.
